Dallas Film Society
The DALLAS Film Society partnered in 2006 to create the DALLAS International Film Festival. The DALLAS International Film Festival is one of the fastest growing film festivals in the world. Named by Movie Maker Magazine as one of the “25 Festivals Worth the Entry Fee,” the Festival has gained the reputation as the Filmmaker’s Festival for its stellar hospitality and dedication to the art.
The DALLAS Film Society has collaborated with institutions in the Dallas Arts District, from the Dallas Museum of Art and Nasher Sculpture Center to TITAS in organizing film programming to educate and entertain.
From its inception, the DALLAS International Film Festival has collaborated and partnered with other film, arts, cultural and community organizations in the area. The DALLAS International Film Festival aligns itself as Community Partners with a number of these organizations to create a series of co-hosted screenings. The Festival works with these groups to select programming that appeals specifically to their constituencies. The Community Partners promote those selected films to their constituents and they co-host the screenings. In return, the Festival provides the organizations with valuable exposure to its audience, including website presence, recognition in printed materials and the opportunity to distribute information to filmmakers and at Festival venues.
