GLIMPSE 2012: A Sneak Peak into Aurora 2013

Join us for the signature event of the District’s Art in October month-long celebration – GLIMPSE 2012; a night of light, video, sound, interactive installations and free public art on October 19, 2012, 7pm to 12 am.  GLIMPSE 2012 is a one night, unique opportunity for the art community to preview Aurora 2013, featuring 10 of the 100+ artists expected to participate in next year’s event.

Donate to Aurora to help light the way for our Aurora artists!

In The Aurora Project’s second year we brought you 83 local artists, 14 national artists, and 1 international artist from Bulgaria to create a 68 acre art show showcasing the art of light, sound, video and interactive installation we called AURORA, where the streets and buildings of The Dallas Arts District were the canvases for the artists.

Now we’re looking to the future, AURORA13! We’re looking to secure $30,000 dollars to provide our artists with materials for their installations, rent the generators to bring electricity to the middle of the street, and to cover the general cost of creating a city wide art show that spans from the Dallas Museum of Modern Art to One Arts Plaza. All in all, your money and your support will help provide Dallas a bi-annual landmark art event that has the opportunity to change and enrich the cultural tourism of Dallas. The AURORA goal is to light the peoples’ spirit and pride to live in this culturally rich city. Your support is where this pride starts.
