Pinterest Costume Contest
How often do you get to wear your Halloween costume outside of Halloween? One, maybe two times…tops? As part of our annual Art in October celebration, we’re giving you another chance to sport your Spiderman and Night of the Living Dead garb…and it could pay off with Arts District prizes in our 1st ever Pinterest Costume Contest! The contest is open to all ages, but there are three categories you can choose from: kids, adults, and zombies.

Entering is easy…just show up in your costume!
We’ll take and upload your pic to our Pinterest page at these two events:
-District After Dark on Oct. 19 from 7:30-9:30p outside the Crow Collection of Asian Art (we’d LOVE to see costumes w/ glow in the dark elements!)
-Klyde Warren Park Grand Opening Celebration on Oct. 28 from 12-2p outside the Crow Collection of Asian Art

Each participant in the contest will receive a coupon for one FREE cup of queso at Jorge’s Tex-Mex at One Arts Plaza. While supplies last.
Then the voting begins…
Our social media fans will vote by ‘repinning’ or ‘liking’ their faves so all you have to do is sit back and watch ‘em stack up. If your pic gets the most combined ‘repins’ and ‘likes’ you’ll win the grand prize in your category! There is no limit on how many times you can ‘repin’ your faves from our page, so go nuts, tell all your friends! Voting ends on Halloween at noon CST (Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012). Winners will be announced later that afternoon through our social media channels.

We’ve got some great prize packs lined up for each category including tickets & gift certificates to arts district performances and restaurants, free museum passes, and tons of Arts District swag. 2nd place prizes will also be awarded.

10.09.12 • 8:45 pmJust curious if, when you say “There is no limit on how many times you can ‘repin’ your faves from our page,” you mean that we can vote for as many contestants as we want…..or, if you mean we can like and repin the same contestant several hundred times so that they win. It seems there is one contestant doing that which seems ridiculous and slightly unfair.
If we can repin our favorite as many times as we like, it seems I need to spend my morning repinning…….
