Holiday Shopping Series: Dallas Museum of Art Store

The Museum Store at the Dallas Museum of Art has so much to offer—i.e. so many unique things, I can’t just pick one! Lucky for me they offer gift certificates, which is one of the reasons we’re featuring the store as Part 5 of our Holiday Shopping Series.

Whether you’re buying for an art aficionado or a novice, you can find the perfect gift at the Museum Store because of it’s wide range of stock. Not only do they have merchandise related to their current and past exhibitions, they also have artful jewelry, clothes, toys, and practically a whole small library of books. Here are just a few examples of what you can find:

For the list maker:
I’d go crazy if I didn’t make a list everyday at work and (I admit) throw in a few doodles along the way. This planner called out to me as the perfect desktop accessory because of it’s clean, modern look and because it’s designed so that you can save all your drawings—err lists in the box to look back on.

For the already-DMA member:
You know they’ve been to every exhibition this year. Surprise them with a gift to remember one by and pick up the publication that went with it. For the most current exhibitions, the store also has cool themed accessories (posters, earrings, even perfume).

For the kids:
Remember the Where’s Waldo and I Spy books? The Djeco La Ville Discovery Puzzle is just as much fun and even more interactive. Kids first put the puzzle together and then start the search for hidden items.

If you can’t put your finger on exactly what they want—that’s ok—let them browse the store themselves with a gift certificate!
